The cooperative is situated in the potato - oats area, in a diversified ground, with average elevation above sea level 450 m. Yearly average of precipitations is about 500 mm, average yearly temperature is 6,7 o C. Average price of farm land for taxation purposes is 3,4 Kč/m2. The present farm assembly originates from gradual fusion of 9 smaller agricultural cooperatives, founded in the years 1956 to 1959. In 1977 there was annexed the State farm with 500 ha land and in 1996 a part of the Cooperative Vysoký Chlumec with 320 ha farm land. Since 1. 1. 1998 the Cooperative is farming on 1100 ha agricultural land, taken over from A. C. Třebsko, which is in liquidation. In January the 1st 2002 individual owners of ZD Svatý Jan joined our cooperative. The total acreage has incerased of 600 ha. In January the 1st 2003 the type of ownership changed from cooperative to stock company. In January the 1st 2005 ZS Petrovice a.s merged into Z.D. Krásná Horan ad Vltavou a.s. Total acreage has increased of 1.540 ha. The company owns only minimum of farm land, but it rents same from individual owners. The annual rent amounts about 2 % of the land price for taxation purposes. Since the year of 2000 company buys a land from individual owners with the help of PGRF fund.
